‘Burning fuel for heat and cooking in developing countries could be harmful to health. In many cases, dwellings may not have chimneys. Add to this the fact that the scarcity of other fuels may result in people, for example, burning animal and human excrement, with health hazards resulting from the process.
Most developing countries would be in a position to establish electrical power grids, which would vastly improve health conditions. However, what fuel would be used to generate the electricity? Many developing countries have large coal reserves, which they would like to exploit in order to emulate the development of Western countries. Their development would be better than that of the west, given that pollutants released in coal burning, such as sulfur dioxide and nitrous oxides, are, today, easy to remove. So what prevents such countries from rapid development? The answer is global warming policies imposed by international bodies, such as the UN. Such bodies are fearful of the possible increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide and therefore apply restrictions on the development of coal-fired power plants. This prevents such countries from industrial development and leaves large numbers of people trapped in poverty. Yet, as we have previously discussed on Creation Moments, these regulations are based on false science, which has nevertheless become the accepted standard.
Yes, even in Australia ‘The woke-left is emboldened. Conservative voices are deplatformed, western culture is cancelled, statues are toppled and history is rewritten. Conservatism is under attack. But what can you do?CPAC was launched in 2019 to provide a platform for conservatives to gather and discuss ideas without harassment over wrong-think. It’s for all of us who believe that true freedom is built upon free speech, free markets and a free society. But we know that others don’t share these values. Last year CPAC was attacked by the Labor Party through Senator’s Kristina Keneally, Penny Wong and opposition leader Anthony Albanese. Antifa and Socialist Alliance also sent their goons to demonstrate at CPAC, to yell abuse and to threaten violence. Then the bureaucrats came. They colluded with Labor to threaten the organiser with jail for failing to comply with demands that were impossible to meet. We know what the left want to do and they are doing it.’https://www.cpacaustralia.org/
Marxist, Muslim, Leftist, Liberal, Lovie ‘…former President Barack Obama delivered the eulogy at late Congressman John Lewis’s (D-GA) funeral Thursday. Via the politicized address, the liberal media received their marching orders from their beloved leader: accuse President Trump of threatening the November the election and compare him to racist Alabama Governor George Wallace (D). And they celebrated him for it.
After noting that Obama’s presidency stood on the shoulders of Lewis’s work in the Civil Rights movement, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt hyped how Obama “while not naming him, launching a forceful attack against President Trump.”
“George Wallace may be gone, but we can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators,” Obama sneered during the nationally televised service.
Of course, the liberal media would push Obama’s drivel, it matched their narrative. He was claiming that the Portland riots and Antifa terrorism were just “peaceful demonstrators.”
Over on the CBS Evening News, anchor Norah O’Donnell fawned for Obama’s “rousing eulogy,” “saying those in power are trying to discourage voting.” And boasted that it was “a direct response to President Trump, who floated the idea today of delaying November’s election, something he doesn’t even have the power to do.”
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, so it goes. That’s so true in the mainline media news. ‘Few subjects more easily betray aggressive media bias than protests. If you’re a conservative protester, you’re most likely to be ignored. The networks mostly ignored this year’s prayerful “March for Life” in January, even though President Trump came in person, a historic first.
ABC anchor David Muir offered 15 seconds: “The President taking the stage at the anti- abortion rights rally. His administration threatening to withhold federal funds from California for requiring private insurers to cover abortions. California’s governor dismissing the threat.”
If conservative protesters are not ignored, they’re most likely to be portrayed as a menace to polite society….even when the protests are nonviolent. Ten years ago, when the Tea Party assembled on Capitol Hill to oppose the passage of Obamacare as unconstitutional, “ugly” was the network term for the tone of the protests.
“Late word from Washington tonight about just how ugly the crowds gathered outside the Longworth Office Building have become,” warned David Muir on March 20, 2010. “We learned that as Congressman Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri was leaving his office, someone in the crowd spit on him. There are also reports of racial and homophobic slurs, one targeting Congressman John Lewis, the famous civil rights champion, and the other involving Congressman Barney Frank. You can listen in for yourself.”
But Cleaver’s spitting claim and the yelling of the N-word were never proven. Andrew Breitbart pledged $100,000 to the United Negro College Fund if anyone provided proof of the N-words, and no one had the goods.
Over at CBS, anchor Bob Schieffer doubled down: “A yearlong debate that’s been rancorous and mean from the start turned even nastier yesterday.”
Let’s repeat: the accusations were that these “nasty” right-wingers said mean words. There was no looting, rioting, burning, vandalism, or violence. No one’s life or limbs were in danger.
Fast-forward ten years to 2020. Left-wingers in Portland and other cities are tearing things down, burning things up, and throwing projectiles at police. Hundreds of cops are being injured. Several suffered possibly permanent eye damage from high-powered lasers.
But the protesters (and rioters) are now on the Left, so the weasel words and the euphemisms flow. Reporters mumble about “mostly peaceful” protests. None of these “objective” referees measure the tone of the Left as possibly “rancorous and mean and nasty.” When you’re protesting police officers and federal security guards, there’s no need to offer dignified discourse.
Compare David Muir in 2010 to Muir on July 27: “Now to those protests turning violent. Demonstrators squaring off with federal officers in Portland, Oregon. Protests over racial injustice intensifying. Local leaders say the federal presence is only fueling this.”
Muir and his colleagues have a real chicken-or-the-egg problem here. Federal security officers arrived to defend federal property under attack from violent leftists. How is it that ABC is suddenly trying to sound “fair and balanced” when it comes to “local leaders” attempting to destroy a federal building, something we all fund with our taxes?
ABC’s Twitter account sounded even worse as leftists erupted in Oakland: “Protesters in California set fire to a courthouse, damaged a police station and assaulted officers after a peaceful demonstration intensified.” If someone punched David Muir in the face, would that be a “peaceful demonstration intensified”?
This double standard underscores what we have long known. The media offer no reward for conservatives and Republicans being nice and polite. The media seek to prevent any damage as the Left unleashes vicious invective and violence. But these manufacturers of “news” have the audacity to present themselves daily as the trustworthy referees of our democracy.’ https://papundits.wordpress.com/2020/07/31/big-city-rioting-is-no-tea-party-protest/
Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. How far off is this prophecy? Well, ‘If some Congress members get their way, the Federal Reserve may soon be able to track many of your purchases in real time and share that information with government agencies. This is just one of the problems with the proposed “digital dollar” or “fedcoin.”
Fedcoin was initially included in the first coronavirus spending bill. While the proposal was dropped from the final version of the bill, there is still great interest in fedcoin on Capitol Hill. Some progressives have embraced fedcoin as a way to provide Americans with a “universal basic income.”
Both the Senate Banking Committee and the House Financial Services Committee held hearings on fedcoin in June. This is the first step toward making fedcoin a reality.
Fedcoin would not be an actual coin. Instead, it would be a special account created and maintained for each American by the Federal Reserve. Each month, Fed employees could tap a few keys on a computer and — bingo — each American would have dollars added to his Federal Reserve account. This is the 21st century equivalent of throwing money from helicopters.
Fedcoin could effect private cryptocurrencies. Also, it would limit the ability of private citizens to protect themselves from the Federal Reserve-caused decline in the dollar’s value.
Fedcoin would not magically increase the number of available goods and services. What it would do is drive up prices. The damage this would do to middle- and lower-income Americans would dwarf any benefit they receive from their monthly “gift” from the Fed. The rise in prices could lead to Congress regularly increasing fedcoin payments to Americans. These increases would cause prices to keep rising even more until we face hyperinflation and a dollar crisis. Of course, we are already on the path to an economic crisis thanks to the Fed. Fedcoin will hasten and worsen the crisis.
Fedcoin poses a great threat to privacy. The Federal Reserve could know when fedcoin is used, who is using it, and what they use it for. This information could be shared with government agencies, such as the FBI or IRS.
The government could use the ability to know how Americans are spending fedcoin to limit our ability to purchase goods and services disfavored by politicians and bureaucrats. Anyone who doubts this should recall the Obama administration’s Operation Choke Point. Operation Choke Point involved financial regulators “alerting” banks that dealing with certain businesses, such as gun stores, would put the banks at “reputational risk” and could subject them to greater regulation.
Is it so hard to believe that the ability to track purchases would be used in the future to “discourage” individuals from buying guns, fatty foods, or tobacco, or from being customers of corporations whose CEOs are not considered “woke” by the thought police? Fedcoin could also be used to “encourage” individuals to patronize “green” business, thus fulfilling Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s goal of involving the Fed in the fight against climate change.
‘Google CEO Sundar Pichai has defended the takedown of numerous videos of doctors sharing their opinions on the coronavirus from Google-owned video sharing platform YouTube.
During a House Judiciary Committee Hearing on antitrust law with Big Tech CEOs, Congressman Greg Steube said that in two separate instances he’d been sent YouTube links to videos featuring doctors sharing their opinion that the drug hydroxychloroquine is effective for the treatment of the coronavirus and that it’s appropriate for children to return back to school.
However, when Steube attempted to open the links and view the videos, he said the videos had been taken down for violating YouTube’s community guidelines.
Steube asked Pichai how doctors giving their opinion on a drug that they think is effective for the treatment of COVID-19 or sharing their opinion on it being appropriate for children to return to school violates YouTube’s community guidelines.
Pichai responded by insisting that Google believes in freedom of expression and that there’s a lot of debate on YouTube about effective ways to deal with the coronavirus but that during the pandemic, if a doctor’s advice conflicts with the guidance from local health authorities on medical misinformation, YouTube will take it down.
“We look to local health authorities, so for example, in the US it would be CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention], for guidelines around medical misinformation in a narrow way which could cause harm in the real world,” Pichai said.
Steube challenged Pichai and said that the doctor’s comments on YouTube are free expression of speech:
“I don’t understand why YouTube and therefore Google thinks it’s appropriate to silence physicians and their opinion of what can help then cure people with COVID-19.”
While there is often debate over the most effective treatment options in the field of medicine, Google and other tech giants are aggressively enforcing their policy of censoring anything that goes against the advice of local health authorities such as the CDC.
Pichai’s statements are the latest of several that have reaffirmed YouTube’s position of relying on health authorities such as the CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO) instead of the merits or qualifications of the person producing the video.
Some of these health authorities that are being used by the tech giants as arbiters of truth have infamously changed their recommendations and contradicted their own previous advice on the coronavirus. For example, the CDC went from recommending people don’t wear masks to calling for people to wear masks.
The BLM, Antifa and others like them are simply pawns in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). These pawns are NOT really seeking to right any supposed wrongs but to take over and destroy all free societies. The CCP is the enemy of all those who love Freedom of speech and life itself. Deep down, May knew her journey “Down Under” was not for a quiet retirement. Instead, she was preparing for a new lease on life, and a chance to help Chinese people understand the true nature of the Communist Party she suffered under for 60 years.
Born Yuelan Tao in 1956, May’s life began just seven years after China fell under the tyrannical rule of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Her father was a small business owner and the family lived in Beijing.
In 1966, her family was swept up in the regime’s Cultural Revolution—a destructive ten-year-long political movement aimed at purging China of its 5,000-year cultural roots.
Craig Kelly is a member of the Australian Federal Parliament and ‘…has raised concerns about Beijing’s influence at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) after it aired a video and radio program evocative of the commonly-used Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda talking points used to persecute Falun Gong for the last two decades.
In response to the video program aired on July 21, Liberal MP Craig Kelly took to Facebook to ask the question: “Have the ABC been infiltrated by the Chinese Communist Party?”
“How else [do] you explain the ABC’s hit job on the peaceful Falun Gong?” he continued.
The ABC’s attacks fell on the 21st anniversary of the CCP’s persecution of the practice, which began on July 20, 1999.
Kelly posted a photo from a Falun Gong rally he had spoken at, where he had stood in front of a wall of banners that read “Falun Gong: Meditation Guided by Truth Compassion Forbearance,” and “Independent Tribunal Found China Guilty of Forced Organ Harvesting.”
One of the banners in the photo has been digitally edited to read: “Help Stop Persecution of Falun Gong in China;” to which he added the words: “and by ‘their’ ABC in Australia.”

‘Australia’s wind industry has been suffering from the Big Calm – with dozens of occasions over the last month or so when the entire wind fleet’s battled to deliver more than a tiny fraction of its combined capacity.
Depicted above – courtesy of Aneroid Energy – is the output delivered by Australian wind power outfits to the Eastern Grid last month.
Spread from Far North Queensland, across the ranges of NSW, all over Victoria, Northern Tasmania and across South Australia its entire capacity routinely delivers just a trickle of its combined notional capacity of 7,728MW.
Collapses of over 3,000 MW or more that occur over the space of a couple of hours are routine, as are rapid surges of equal magnitude, which make the grid manager’s life a living hell, and provide the perfect set up for power market price gouging by the owners of conventional generators, who cash in on the chaos.
During June there were lengthy periods when the combined output of every wind turbine connected to the Eastern Grid struggled to top 400 MW (5.1% of total capacity). Such as: 11 June when output collapsed to a trifling 86 MW (1.1% of total notional capacity); 17 June when total output fell to 134 MW (1.7% of total notional capacity); 26 June when, after a 1,200 MW slide, output was between 300-400 MW (3.8% to 5.1% of total notional capacity); and 27 June when output dropped over 900 MW to bottom out at 96 MW (1.2% of total notional capacity) .

Imagine a massive irrigation project to make the deserts bloom with a gigantic network of headworks, dams, irrigation channels and pumping stations to encourage farmers to move in and reap a bountiful harvest of food and fibre from a vast expanse of well-watered countryside. The food will be cheaper too! After all, the water and the land are free.
But there’s is a problem. With the burgeoning infrastructure well advanced, very visible and much bally-hooed by an eagerly unquestioning media it turns out that there isn’t enough water much of the time and the freshly planted seedlings die. The people will not starve because food is still being produced from the farmland that was there before the irrigation scheme started. But now that food is costing twice as much.
Tragically this is not a hypothetical scenario because it applies to the Wind Power Project that was launched to achieve the (upwardly mobile) Renewable Energy Target.
Wind Droughts There are frequent and prolonged “wind droughts” that we can measure using the output from some 70 wind farms and over 2000 turbines across South Eastern Australia, all connected to the grid of the National Energy Market and monitored by the Australian Energy Market Operator.
The chart above shows the percentage of the installed capacity of the system that was delivered hour by hour over the month. The line drawn at 10 per cent indicates the periods when the supply was a tenth or less of the 7.8 Gigawatts of installed capacity.
The low points lasted for 33 hours on the 5th-6th, 18 hours on the 11th, 16 hours on the 17th, 14 hours on the 26th, 11 hours on the 27th and nine hours on the 28th. There were several other lows of shorter duration, giving total of 13 episodes and much of the time during the low spells the supply was well below 10 per cent, with lows of 3.4 per cent, 1.1 per cent and 2.3 per cent during the most prolonged “wind droughts.” All the monthly records are available at https://anero.id/energy/wind-energy
Choke Points Wind droughts cause “choke points” in the supply of electricity to the grid. Consider the supply of air to our lungs. We need a continuous supply of air and when this is interrupted by choking or drowning we are soon dead. The electricity grid also needs a continuous input of power or it will die, at least in parts.
The reason for talking about choke points is to drive home the fact that the critical indicator of the wind supply that we need to monitor is the low points, not the high points, not the total installed capacity and not the average delivery.
What has happened here? The “failed irrigation scheme” scenario suggests that ‘someone has blundered‘, as Tennyson famously wrote in The Charge of the Light Brigade. Was information on the frequency and duration of wind droughts available before the government decided to back wind power and RE at large with subsidies and mandates to use power from intermittent sources?
Still, regardless of this discovery, all the Australian states are pressing on with ambitious plans to put more resources into the windpower equivalents of irrigation headworks, dams, channels and pumping stations.
Why in Australia, of all places? Australia is leading the world in the rush to “clean energy” but this is a serious mistake for two other reasons in addition to the problem of wind droughts. First, Australia is an island. Practically every other industrialized country in the world has neighbours to provide power when wind and solar power are in short supply. European countries can turn to France for nuclear energy, the Scandinavian states for hydro, Poland for coal and Russia for gas. Every kind of power feeds into the North American grid, but in Australia we are on our own.
Second, we have no nuclear power. Isolation would not be such a problem if we had nuclear power.
Please don’t mention batteries and pumped hydro Elon Musk created a media sensation when he installed a big Tesla battery in South Australia in record time. The big battery has been hailed as a great contribution to the green transition but it is important to realise how small it is compared with the demand of the grid.
It is a remarkable piece of technology, occupying a hectare of space and carrying a price tag of $60 million. It is attached to the Hornsdale No 3 windfarm (100MW rated capacity) and it stores 109 megawat Hours (MWh) of power. That means it can maintain a flow of 100MW from the farm for a little over an hour after the wind stops.
By comparison, the SA grid requires a flow ranging from 1000Mw to 2000MW depending on the time of day. So if the wind stops for an hour the grid needs at least 1000MWh. How far does 109MWh support the grid in that situation?
Pumped Hydro is the other great hope for storage and the showpiece is Snowy 2.0 that is planned to deliver 2000MW of power continuously, matching a large coal-fired power station such as Bayswater in NSW. In the real world this offers no more hope than big batteries. For a start, Snowy 2.0 is not a primary generator because the power that flows from it will come originally from a fleet of solar and wind farms. It is designed to regulate the lumpy RE input and deliver a steady supply. Unfortunately, between 30 per cent and 40 per cent of the original power is lost in the pumping and pipe resistance. The projected cost is enormous, far beyond the original estimate and it may never be built due to the expensive, unforeseen problems in the construction and the damage to the national park.
And if Snowy 2.0 is completed, along with the extra wind turbines to go with it, just 2,000MW of our existing 20,000MW of coal-fired capacity will be replaced. All we need is a few more mountain ranges with reliable rainfall — nine of them, to be precise — to replace the other 18GW of coal power.
