Now, Finland is seeking to silence Christians for voicing their beliefs. Yes, ‘A Christian member of the Finnish Parliament is facing six years imprisonment for allegedly committing three crimes, including “hate speech,” for sharing her opinion on marriage and human sexuality on social media, on television and in a pamphlet.
The country’s chief prosecutor has brought three criminal charges against Finnish Member of Parliament and former Minister of the Interior, Päivi Räsänen, according to the Austria-based Christian legal group ADF International.
The politician, who is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland and former chair of the Christian Democrats, has been under police investigation since June 2019 for publicly voicing her opinion on marriage and human sexuality in a 2004 pamphlet, for comments made on a 2018 TV show, and a tweet directed at her church leadership.
Biblical knowledge isn’t something many Christians seem to have today. For instance if the average Christian knew their Bible Rick Warren and his books wouldn’t have been so popular. Now, not surprising ‘The largest church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention ordained three women as ministers May 6, sending shock waves through the male-centric leadership of the nation’s largest non-Catholic denomination.
Saddleback Church, founded by Pastor Rick Warren and his wife, Kay, in 1980, announced on Facebook that on May 6 it had ordained three women as ministers in a “historic night.”
On Mother’s Day, which fell three days after Saddleback’s ordination, the Sunday morning online message was given by Kay Warren. Although she is not among the newly ordained, her delivery of the Sunday morning message in worship was sure to further alarm the strictest of male leadership advocates within the SBC, who insist women should not preach sermons to men.
The three women ordained May 6 are Liz Puffer, Cynthia Petty and Katie Edwards — all long-tenured staff members within the vast network of the church’s 15 United States campuses and four international campuses. The church counts more than 24,000 members and lists 18 “campus pastors,” all of whom are male.
Because of the massive size of the church spread out over so many locations, no complete staff directory is published online. Petty’s LinkedIn profile lists her as children’s minister at Saddleback, where she has served since 1999. Puffer describes herself as a “minister” at Saddleback Church in both her LinkedIn and Twitter profiles. Her Facebook profile describes her as a pastor for pastoral care at the church. Edwards serves as student ministries pastor at Saddleback’s Lake Forest campus, where she has worked for 24 years.
Saddleback not only is the largest church in the SBC but one of its leaders in evangelism. The church’s emphasis on evangelism and church growth have been studied and duplicated worldwide. Warren was one of the early advocates for what came to be known as “seeker-friendly church,” meaning a church experience intended specifically to welcome unchurched people and bring them to faith in Jesus Christ. ‘Palestinian terror groups such as Hamas have a surefire strategy to win over the world’s sympathy: fire rockets into Israeli territory, trigger an Israeli response and wait for the global outrage against Israel’s response.
The strategy is effective because Israel is so darn good at protecting its citizens from missile attacks, thanks to ubiquitous bomb shelters and a sophisticated Iron Dome missile defense. So, if the terror rockets don’t kill any Jews, but the forced retaliations kill Palestinians, anyone biased against Israel will have a field day.
Consider, for example, Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who flipped the script and accused Israel of committing an “act of terrorism” with its airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on May 10, which resulted in the deaths of 20 Palestinians.
“Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism,” Omar tweeted. “Palestinians deserve protection.”
Indeed, they do. They deserve protection from their murderous, corrupt and Jew-hating leaders who deliberately provoke Israel into retaliatory strikes that they know endangers the lives of their people.
Provoking Israel into killing Palestinians is the perfect diversion from the blatant failures of Palestinian leadership to improve the welfare of its people. Abbas canceling the PA elections? Israel’s fault. Trouble on Temple Mount? Israel’s fault. Chronic poverty and misery? Israel’s fault. A legal dispute over houses in East Jerusalem? Let’s fire rockets into Israeli cities and blame Israel for the reprisals.
Meanwhile, these cowardly leaders sit comfortably in their villas and bunkers basking in the world’s endorsement that, yes, it must be Israel’s fault.
If only more Jews would die during these rocket attacks, maybe the world would have more sympathy for the Jewish state. Does anybody doubt Hamas would love nothing better than to see thousands of Jews die from their rocket attacks? That’s their mission. They admit it. These platforms are simply doing what the Apostle John wrote of in John 8:44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. Miami imam Dr. Fadi Yousef Kablawi said that Al-Aqsa and Palestine are the “land of Islam,” and that Muslims will take them back. He made these remarks in a Friday sermon that was delivered at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah in north Miami, and posted on the masjid’s official Facebook page on April 16, 2021. Dr. Kablawi thanked the Israelis for building the settlements that would serve as housing for the Muslims when they take the land back, and the Israelis run away “like mice.” He said that every Muslim “should talk to himself about dying for the sake of Allah.” Dr. Kablawi asked why only Muslims who die for their cause are considered terrorists, while non-Muslims such as Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Che Guevara, and Bob Marley are considered heroes. He elaborated that Christians claim that Jesus died for his cause, for their sins, but according to Islam Jesus didn’t die. Dr. Kablawi explained that Islam has come to tell the Christians that Jesus is alive, yet they fight Islam in return. He said to Christians: “If you love Jesus, then Islam is the religion for you,” because Muslims love Jesus, more than Christians do. Communist/Marxists have pretty much taken over the media, schools and now the Government with Biden/Harris leading the band. If something doesn’t change at the next election America is done! Personally, that change must begin in the heart. God and the Bible have been tossed on the scrap heap but the Creator sees all things just as He did in Genesis 6 before He sent the flood. The Creator sees the wickedness of man but He is longsuffering that all men should come to repentance. The real answer isn’t at the ballot box but at the altar of the heart.
