‘Woke green European politicians love to lecture us in Australia about how Europe is ‘transitioning to renewables’. And woke green Australian politicians and our leftist media parrot the Europeans. But it’s all a conjob. Only 15% of Europe’s (EU 27) total energy supply comes from ‘renewables’. However as Bjorn Lomborg points out, while the public has been brainwashed into thinking ‘renewables’ means wind and solar power – the vast majority of Europe’s ‘renewable energy’ comes from Biomass (that’s wood). Wind and Solar provided just 2% and 1% of Europe’s energy in 2019.And yet, we’ve had people in Australia fooled into believing the delusion that in a few short years we can run our entire economy on Chinese solar panels and wind turbines. The world is laughing at us.’https://www.facebook.com/CraigKellyMP

‘Winchester University in Britain has decided to build a $40 000 statue of Greta Thunberg, a person who wagged school to go sailing around the world preaching the politics of the woke left. Time and time again students who just want to study hard and do well in their course to get a job have to put up with the constant pushing of leftist ideology by the university elites. How Dare They!!’https://www.facebook.com/MarkLathamsOutsiders/?ref=page_internal
Yeah, this is just what we want to save the world! ‘Boosters assert that the hopeless intermittency of wind and solar will soon be remedied by the addition of giant lithium batteries. Well, that’s the marketing pitch tossed up by renewable energy rent seekers, anyway.
The volume of electricity stored by these so-called ‘giant’ batteries is risible, and their cost astronomical, such that the grid-scale storage of electrical power is simply a fantastic pipe dream.
Which, given the article below, may be no bad thing.
How do you Extinguish a Lithium Battery Fire?
Watts Up With That?
Eric Worall
4 March 2021
A few weeks ago I asked a fire fighter friend how they extinguish electric vehicle battery fires.
He said “Oh you mean like a Tesla or something? The answer is you can’t. You cordon off the area, and spray a fine mist of water on the fire to try to keep the temperature down until it finishes burning. Takes a few days until it is safe”.
The problem is, besides being highly flammable, lithium is literally the lightest metal. At atomic number 3, it is the first element in the periodic table which is a solid. The two previous elements, hydrogen and helium, are both gasses.
Lithium is so light, it floats on water (lithium density 0.543, half the density of water). Lithium is entirely happy to blaze away while sitting on the surface of a puddle of water.
So if you try to smother a lithium fire with sand, the sand sinks to the bottom, and the lithium floats on top.
Lithium melts at 180C / 356F, and burns at 2000C / 3632F – almost more than hot enough to melt steel, more than hot enough to destroy most composites and metals like aluminium.
The fumes from a burning lithium fire are highly toxic, capable of causing death or long term dementia like brain injuries – so you need to keep members of the public at a safe distance. Fire fighters need to wear respirators if they approach the flame.
There are chemical extinguishers, but my fire station friend didn’t seem to think much of them, at least not for large lithium fires.
I guess you might be able to smother a large lithium fire by dropping a Chernobyl style sarcophagus made of steel on top of it, or possibly made of some other material which could handle the heat. Then you could fill the sarcophagus with an inert gas like Argon, or just wait for the oxygen to run out. But equipping fire departments with a sarcophagus device large enough to smother an EV fire, and the equipment required to deploy it, would be an expensive exercise.
What does your fire department do when they have to extinguish a large lithium fire? I’d love to know, so I can tell Australian fire departments. Cordon off the area and spray a mist of water at the fire for a few days would be a serious inconvenience or worse, if the burning vehicle was say blocking an important road junction, on the high street, or in someone’s residential or workplace garage or workshop.’https://stopthesethings.com/2021/03/26/bonfire-bonanza-giant-lithium-batteries-literally-ready-to-explode-on-energy-scene/
‘A student who was suspended from his public university’s education program for an Instagram video in which he stated “a man is a man and a woman is a woman” has been reinstated by administrators.
Owen Stevens confirmed Wednesday to The College Fix that SUNY-Geneseo has allowed him to continue his education.
“Universities should be a market place of ideas, not an assembly line for one type of thought,” he told The College Fix via email. “Instead of policing speech on social media platforms, they should be engaging in educating future world leaders.”
SUNY-Geneseo media affairs division did not respond to repeated emails and phone calls Wednesday and Thursday from The College Fix seeking comment.
The crux of the controversy centers on a one-minute November 22, 2020, Instagram video in which Stevens stated in part:
“A man is a man. A woman is a woman. A man is not a woman. And a woman is not a man. A man cannot become a woman and a woman cannot become a man. If I am a man and I think I am a woman, I am still a man. If I am woman who thinks I’m a man, I am still a woman. Regardless of what you feel on the inside is irrelevant to your biological status. It doesn’t change the biology.”’https://www.thecollegefix.com/student-suspended-for-saying-a-man-is-a-man-a-woman-is-a-woman-reinstated-by-university/
Everybody must be in agreement or get cancelled so it seems. ‘A lengthy column by a professor that critiques critical race theory and the concept of “whiteness” and “blackness” was removed by an online intellectual magazine after it generated controversy.
Alaric Naudé, a linguistics professor at Suwon Science College in South Korea and head professor of its English Department, said his essay “Blackness, Whiteness and Other Mythological Creatures” was removed by the UK-based online magazine Res Publica.
The publication bills itself as providing “an academic platform where ideas and concepts can be praised and challenged.” It did not respond to requests from The College Fix seeking comment on the matter.
Naudé (pictured) said that his piece was published on February 18 and subsequently removed the following day due to complaints. He said the publication issued a public apology for sparking a “controversy.”
Naudé republished the piece on his professor’s blog on February 23 with a lengthy foreward taking on his critics and a note: “I offer no apology for stating reality.”’https://www.thecollegefix.com/intellectual-magazine-removes-professors-column-critiquing-critical-race-theory/
The China virus is destroying the once Free World!
Job 10:12 “Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.”

‘The study of plants’ abilities to protect themselves from insect attackers is a fairly new and rapidly growing area of research. It seems that new and even more amazing discoveries are appearing every month.
Let’s imagine that you are a nice little beetle looking for a tasty tomato plant. Soon after spotting a juicy-looking tomato, you are happily munching away. However, before you can finish your meal, you are in trouble. Every leaf on the tomato has started turning out chemicals that will, at the least, give you serious indigestion and possibly kill you. At the same time, the plant has warned its neighbors of your presence, and the other tomatoes, too, are turning out the same nasty chemicals. Your very act of eating has made it impossible to get a decent meal in this garden!
The latest research suggests that the tomato under attack communicates with its neighbors by releasing a chemical called methyl jasmonate. (This chemical is commonly found in perfumes.) Methyl jasmonate warns neighboring plants that hungry insects are in the neighborhood. On receiving the news, they begin producing the two chemicals that prevented you from digesting the protein in your lunch. This reaction has been seen among a number of plants, including cotton plants and various trees.
Who would ever have imagined that plants warn each other about attack? Who would have guessed that they know enough chemistry and insect biochemistry to mount such a clever defense? While even we who believe in creation are amazed, we know that the Creator can and did equip plants with these abilities.’ https://creationmoments.com/sermons/unimagined-actions-and-reactions-2/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=unimagined-actions-and-reactions-2&mc_cid=f5c849cdb8&mc_eid=00c1dcff3c
I found this interesting. ‘China, the architect of the COVID-19 misery, is trying hard to project its COVID-19 vaccines as face-saver amidst worldwide condemnation of the country as the originator of the coronavirus. China’s two major vaccines are Sinopharm with 72.5% efficacy and Sinovac that is 50.6% effective, the latter having one of the lowest efficacy rates as compared to any existing coronavirus vaccine. Despite its best efforts to push these vaccines in South East Asian countries, these vaccines have failed to generate much interest in countries like Cambodia and Vietnam.
In Cambodia, the citizens and government officials are reluctant to get vaccinated by the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm, even the Prime Minister and his wife availed Indian vaccine instead of the Chinese one, citing age and other health related issues. Cambodians are quite skeptical about the efficacy of Sinopharm and its side effects. Government officials including defense, police and other law enforcement agencies are being forcefully administered Sinopharm. This is creating fear, discontent and tension among government officials.
Majority of local Cambodian citizens are becoming anti-Chinese. A social boycott of Chinese people and establishment has started in Cambodia because of their high handedness, unruly and rowdy behavior. Chinese nationals are found involved in many illegal businesses in Cambodia, for example, operating casinos, online gambling, money laundering, narcotics etc. Presently, few local Cambodian are willing to rent his/her property to Chinese nationals in Phnom Penh city and other provinces in Cambodia.
Another country where Chinese vaccines have not gained traction is Vietnam. Vietnam, which recently began its inoculation drive, has overlooked China-made vaccines, opting for the vaccine developed by British-Swedish pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca instead. Citizens claim that though they would confidently take any vaccine approved by Vietnamese regulators, the one made in China would be their last choice.
Nguyen Phuong Linh, associate director with global consultancy firm Control Risks, said China’s vaccine diplomacy had failed with Vietnam mainly because of anti-China sentiments among the public. From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the virus has been widely reported in Vietnam as originally coming from China. Since then, anti-China sentiments, which were already strong, have shown no sign of weakening.
There is a public distrust of China in Vietnam because in the early days of the pandemic, China did not come to Vietnam with offers of personal protective equipment which showed a level of politicization in Beijing’s “COVID-19 diplomacy”. These sentiments have been fuelled by an ongoing territorial dispute in the South China Sea between China and Vietnam. Beijing’s activities on the Mekong River have also adversely affected Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) downstream, including Vietnam.
In addition to the AstraZeneca vaccine, the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sputnik V vaccines for emergency use, Vietnam is also developing four home-grown vaccines, with human trials having started for two of them. One of these, the Nano Covax vaccine is expected to be approved for emergency use by the middle of the year 2021. If this happens, Chinese vaccines will not see the light of the day in Vietnam.
China needs to realize that the vaccines alone cannot heal the wounds of the COVID-19 misery it has inflicted upon the whole world. Rejection of Chinese vaccines implies loss of trust and respect for China and a beating to its image of being a regional power.’https://dailyclout.io/opinion-no-takers-for-chinas-covid-19-vaccines-in-cambodia-and-vietnam/
The CCP has the West exactly where it wants it; under their thumb. The China virus was a weapon sent out from China to destroy what was left of the West. Now, with biding his time Biden in the WH there is no stopping this take over. Sadly, the make believe Christians go along with whatever the officials say the pseudo ‘science’ says to do. So, ‘In early March, Harry Schmidt learned the answers to questions some religious conference organizers may be asking: What’s it like to hold an in-person event in the midst of an ongoing pandemic?
When more than 300 planners and exhibitors gathered in North Carolina at the Religious Conference Management Association’s annual meeting, they got a glimpse of what could be ahead for their upcoming convocations, synods and general assemblies:
Four people — sitting 6 feet apart — were served fresh prepackaged meals at round tables set 10 feet apart in a ballroom in the Charlotte Convention Center.
Attendees walked along one-way aisles in the exhibit area, where they could speak face-to-face — or, rather, mask-to-mask — but there was no handing out of “trade-show tchotchkes.”
Registrants were screened before entering the building and given a QR code to present once they were inside.
“It really became a great model,” said Schmidt, president and CEO of the Indianapolis-based association that worked in collaboration with regional convention and public health officials in planning the event.
“Everybody wore a mask at all times except for when they were actually consuming food.”’https://julieroys.com/conference-continues-covid-19/?mc_cid=3641bfe77d&mc_eid=b13d34ad49
