‘Martha McKay was brutally murdered at the Arkansas Snowden House, a colonial style home built in the early twentieth century and the same place where her mother and cousin were murdered 23 years ago by the same man, who she befriended.
McKay had bought the antebellum style house near Horseshoe Lake from her family in 2004 and converted the property into a bed and breakfast.
According to People, McKay had been stabbed and beaten to death on the top of the stairs on March 25.
She was found next to a bag full of her belongings.
When authorities were called to the scene, a man was seen fleeing through a window before jumping into a car and driving into the yard, getting stuck in the process.
Police gave chase to the suspect following the brutal murder of 63-year-old McKay, but later pulled the drowned body of the man, after he jumped into the lake, convicted for the violent double-murder of McKay’s mother, Sally Snowden McKay, 75, and her cousin, Joseph “Lee” Baker, 52.
Lewis was sentenced to 28 and a half years behind bars, with McKay’s family fighting against the death penalty.
When Lewis was granted parole in 2018, McKay gave the convicted murderer a job on the property.
However, it was revealed that McKay had fired Lewis before the gruesome murder after accusing him of theft after the sale of an unused chandelier for $10,000.
Lewis, who was present on the day of the sale, was accused of stealing the 5-figure sum as the funds had simply “vanished.”
McKay, a longtime practicing Buddhist, had reportedly visited Lewis several times when he was in prison, despite the disapproval of her family. She had even written to Lewis while he was behind bars and supported his parole.
McKay’s family and friends have expressed their disbelief at the situation.’ https://nationalfile.com/woman-befriends-mothers-murderer-is-then-murdered-by-him/

The New York Post reports that the big, flaming ball in the sky is about to go into “lockdown” just like the rest of us.
The sun is currently in a period of “solar minimum,” meaning activity on its surface has fallen dramatically.
Experts believe we are about to enter the deepest period of sunshine “recession” ever recorded as sunspots have virtually disappeared.
Astronomer Dr. Tony Phillips said: “Solar Minimum is underway and it’s a deep one.”
“Sunspot counts suggest it is one of the deepest of the past century. The sun’s magnetic field has become weak, allowing extra cosmic rays into the solar system.”
Reached for comment, 17-year-old global warming scold Greta Thunberg had but one thing to say to the cooling sun that may render her global warming activism obsolete:

Have you ever heard of Knut Wittkowski? No? Well, ‘He is among the many, even many hundreds, of epidemiologists and other medical research professionals whose expertise was not consulted in the frenzied weeks in which the American political class at all levels chose panic and shutdown over rationality and rights.
Consider his bio:
Dr. Wittkowski received his PhD in computer science from the University of Stuttgart and his ScD (Habilitation) in Medical Biometry from the Eberhard-Karls-University Tuüingen, both Germany. He worked for 15 years with Klaus Dietz, a leading epidemiologist who coined the term “reproduction number”, on the Epidemiology of HIV before heading for 20 years the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design at The Rockefeller University, New York. Dr. Wittkowski is currently the CEO of ASDERA LLC, a company discovering novel treatments for complex diseases from data of genome-wide association studies.
His work has been widely cited in the technical/medical literature. So try to understand his frustration with everything going on around him. A lifetime of work toward understanding diseases and their spread, and he has to watch all this unfold in the most brutal way that contradicts everything he knows and has tried to teach.
At the last moments of this interview below (full transcript) he says the following:
With all respiratory diseases, the only thing that stops the disease is herd immunity. About 80% of the people need to have had contact with the virus, and the majority of them won’t even have recognized that they were infected, or they had very, very mild symptoms, especially if they are children. So, it’s very important to keep the schools open and kids mingling to spread the virus to get herd immunity as fast as possible, and then the elderly people, who should be separated, and the nursing homes should be closed during that time, can come back and meet their children and grandchildren after about 4 weeks when the virus has been exterminated….
We are experiencing all sorts of counterproductive consequences of not well-thought-through policy….
Well, we will see maybe a total of fewer cases—that is possible. However, we will see more cases among the elderly, because we have prevented the school children from creating herd immunity. And so, in the end, we will see more death because the school children don’t die, it’s the elderly people who die, we will see more death because of this social distancing….
If we had herd immunity now, there couldn’t be a second wave in autumn. Herd immunity lasts for a couple of years, typically, and that’s why the last SARS epidemic we had in 2003, it lasted 15 years for enough people to become susceptible again so that a new epidemic could spread of a related virus. Because typically, there is something that requires cross-immunity, so if you were exposed to one of the SARS viruses, you are less likely to fall ill with another SARS virus. So, if we had herd immunity, we wouldn’t have a second wave. However, if we are preventing herd immunity from developing, it is almost guaranteed that we have a second wave as soon as either we stop the social distancing or the climate changes with winter coming or something like that….
[Extreme reactions] cost the US taxpayer $2 trillion, in addition to everything else that it costs, but it also has severe consequences for our social life, and depression is definitely something that we will be researching. I can say for myself, walking through New York City right now is depressing….
We should be resisting, and we should, at least, hold our politicians responsible. We should have a discussion with our politicians. One thing we definitely need to do, and that would be safe and effective, is opening schools. Let the children spread the virus among themselves, which is a necessity to get herd immunity. That was probably one of the most destructive actions the government has done. We should focus on the elderly and separating them from the population where the virus is circulating. We should not prevent the virus from circulating among school children, which is the fastest way to create herd immunity….
And the final question and answer: “So, is there anything else you want to say about this that—what’s been aggravating you the most? Or what would you like people to know?”
I think people in the United States and maybe other countries as well are more docile than they should be. People should talk with their politicians, question them, ask them to explain, because if people don’t stand up to their rights, their rights will be forgotten. I’m Knut Wittkowski. I was at the Rockefeller University, I have been an epidemiologist for 35 years, and I have been modeling epidemics for 35 years. It’s a pleasure to have the ability to help people to understand, but it’s a struggle to get heard.’ https://www.aier.org/article/stand-up-for-your-rights-says-bio-statistican-knut-m-wittkowski/
It’s good to be nice to others but it pays to also use some common sense and discernment. Why, well ‘A pro-refugee activist in France was found dead at his home after being murdered by the same 20-year-old Afghan migrant he had been sleeping with.
63-year-old Jean Dussine was head of a group called Itinérance that helps vulnerable migrants. The activist also personally allowed some of the migrants to stay at his home.
According to Ouest France, Dussine was found dead at his home having been viciously beaten with an iron rod as he slept.
Dussine “was sleeping when [the alleged assailant], an Afghan migrant barely 20 years old, attacked him with an iron rod. He could not be revived,” reports Valeurs Actuelles.
The migrant, who cannot speak French, was taken into custody by police. Authorities are still trying to determine a motive for the killing.
“Sadly, a similar story took place last year where a promising medical student and pro-migrant activist, also from Normandy, was stabbed to death by a migrant she was reportedly housing,” reports National File.
Back in 2016, it was revealed that open borders activists were sleeping with refugees, some of them children, at the Calais migrant camp.
After he was anally raped by a Somalian migrant in 2016, Norwegian refugee activist Karsten Nordal Hauken said he felt ‘guilt and responsibility’ that the migrant was deported for his crime.’ https://www.zerohedge.com/political/pro-refugee-french-activist-murdered-migrant-he-was-sleeping?utm_campaign=&utm_content=ZeroHedge%3A+The+Durden+Dispatch&utm_medium=email&utm_source=zh_newsletter
I had never heard of GRACE until the brave missionary girls whose parents were missionaries with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) in Bangladesh began their blog https://bangladeshmksspeak.wordpress.com/.
GRACE was seeking anyone who had experience with ABWE. Unfortunately, we did have so we contacted GRACE. It wasn’t long until we had a Skype conference with Boz Tchividjian and (I think) three others discussing our experience and what we knew at the time concerning ABWE.
Boz and GRACE began the investigation into the Dr. Ketcham’s Child Abuse which laid the foundation upon which PII saw ABWE do some deep house cleaning. Therefore, I was interested to read it was ‘With “mixed feelings,” Boz Tchividjian believes it’s time for him to follow God’s call into private practice while continuing to help sexual abuse survivors. He also looks forward to passing the torch on to new leadership at GRACE, an organization he founded to help churches better respond to sexual abuse issues.
The grandson of legendary evangelist Billy Graham announced Dec. 14 he will be stepping down as executive director of GRACE – Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment – and leave his teaching position at Liberty University School of Law. Tchividjian, who founded GRACE in 2004, made the announcement in an interview with Julie Roys on her podcast The Roys Report. He noted he’d like to remain on the board and expressed his excitement for the organization’s future.
“GRACE has never been about me,” Tchividjian said in the interview. “It’s always been about serving and advocating for the wounded and educating and equipping Christ’s Church.
“And so, I think it’s time that somebody come after me, who has maybe different gifts than me, to take the organization and move it forward.”
With his experience and a law degree, Tchividjian said he plans to represent sexual abuse survivors and has started working at the DeLand, Fla., law firm in Landis, Graham, French.
“I’ve already got a number of cases around the country where I’m doing that,” he told Roys, “and I feel like I’m putting my time and talents to good use with what I know and the degree that I have and the experience I have as a litigator.”
Tchividjian hopes to help fill a void in a field where he believes there aren’t enough lawyers with the needed experience to defend sexual abuse survivors in the church.
“Many of them (lawyers) should not be doing this,” he said in the interview. “They don’t understand victimization. They don’t understand the church . . . And they end up re-victimizing their own clients. I’ve encountered so many of these survivors who’ve been actually re-victimized by the very lawyers who are supposed to be advocating for them.”
Under Tchividjian’s leadership at GRACE, the organization has seen growth in helping churches respond to abuse allegations and helping expose sexual abuse issues at faith-based organizations. See related report by WORLD.
“We’ve grown more in the last 18 to 24 months than we’ve grown in the last 10 years,” said Tchividjian, who described today as an “important time in the life of GRACE and I just really believe that God has somebody selected who will step into that position and take it to where [God] wants it to go and that it will never be about a person but it’s always going to be about the persons that we serve.”
According to its website, GRACE “exists to equip the Church with a vision for authentic community, where responsibility, accountability, and compassion are second nature and caring for children and adult survivors of abuse are non-negotiable.”
Before founding GRACE, Tchividjian was a prosecutor who created the first “Sexual Crimes” division at the Office of the State Attorney in the 7th Judicial Circuit of Florida, the GRACE website said. As division chief, he prosecuted hundreds of sex abuse cases, and he is recognized as an expert on sexual violence against children and adults. He wrote a weekly column for Religion News Service related to sexual abuse and faith and is a co-author of The Child Safeguarding Policy Guide for Churches and Ministries.
The GRACE website said, “Boz has spent over twenty years utilizing what he learned as a prosecutor to train and equip prosecutors, investigators, social workers, and medical personnel in handling various aspects of child sexual abuse prosecutions.”
In the interview Tchividjian noted, “GRACE is not going anywhere.”
“We are here to stay,” he said. “I long for the day where the world doesn’t need our organization, but we’re a long way from that. And so . . . as long as there is this horror inside of the church, GRACE is going to be there.”’ https://ministrywatch.com/boz-tchividjian-on-leaving-grace-new-opportunity/
Job 38:32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
I grew up in Iowa out in the country away from the lights of the city. Now, even at 75 I remember going out on a clear night and looking up into the heavens and just being amazed at the number of stars. That’s about all I know about astronomy but it is interesting that ‘The Book of Job contains references both to a modern view of the universe and an Earth-centric view of the imaginary star shapes that we call constellations. One important set of constellations mentioned in Job is the Mazzaroth. One of God’s challenges to Job, in chapter 38 verse 32, was: “Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season, or can you guide the Bear with its children?”
The Mazzaroth is a collection of twelve constellations. Because many of these are supposed to be images of animals, the Mazzaroth is sometimes called the Zodiac. These twelve constellations are arranged almost evenly around the ecliptic, which is that part of the sky where the Sun appears to move and, hence, is actually a tracking of the Earth’s orbit. This is extremely useful because the rising of each of these constellations in turn amounts approximately to a calendar month each, thus defining our division of the year. We are immediately reminded that God said in Genesis 1:14 that the heavens were to be “for signs and for seasons, and for days and years”.
This convenience has led to some extending too much significance to the Mazzaroth, assigning them occult meanings in astrology. Reacting against this, some Christians have suggested that the Mazzaroth contains the Gospel message. The truth is much simpler and much more profound; God gave us these constellations for our benefit, and our praise should be directed towards Him.’ https://creationmoments.com/sermons/the-book-of-job-and-the-mazzaroth/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-book-of-job-and-the-mazzaroth&mc_cid=b1fe83a817&mc_eid=00c1dcff3c
‘National Families Week, which is held every year between 15 and 21 May, aims to celebrate the vital role that families play in Australian society.
This is all commendable except that the ‘natural family’, as defined by natural law, is often overlooked. Any talk of ‘family’ needs to focus on marriage being the fundament connection between a mother, a father, and their children. Marriage ensures that kids grow up with their own biological mum and dad. FamilyVoice has, since its inception, defended the traditional natural family, and further, we believe that traditional natural marriage is essential for the family in society to flourish. Marriage is a relationship rooted in human nature and governed by Natural Law.
The survival of the family is essential for the welfare of the young and the cohesion of society. Without marriage, nothing works. It is the key to stability, peace, wealth, and progress. We tamper with it at our great peril. The welfare state’s shattering of marriage-based families in the inner cities and the chaos that follows is perhaps the most glaring evidence of marriage’s importance.
“Marriage-based family life is the organising principle behind all civilised cultures. No other relationship transforms young men and women into more productive, less selfish, and more mature people as husbands and wives, and fathers and mothers. No other relationship affords children the best economic, emotional, and psychological environment,” said Greg Bondar, NSW State Director for FamilyVoice.
At the core of marriage are the manifold and complementary differences between the sexes – between masculinity and femininity. One of the most unfortunate modern myths is that relationships work if each spouse meets the other halfway. But they work best when husbands and wives each give 100 percent, not totalling up a relative exchange while “looking out for No. 1.”
During Family Week we all need to remember the simple message that marriage is a vital public and social institution, and the continued redefining of it has far-reaching consequences.’ https://familyvoice.org.au/
How much do others need to know about other people? Well, ‘Pastor, author, and speaker, Bryan Loritts, last weekend took to Instagram and blamed bloggers and evangelicals for the tragic death of restored megachurch pastor, Darrin Patrick.
In a video that garnered more than 13,000 views, Loritts alleged that evangelicals “stink at grace.” And he implied that Patrick took his life because evangelicals, egged on by bloggers, couldn’t get “past” Patrick’s past.
“And it’s just heartbreaking,” Loritts said. “Like, there’s a whole industry out there—blogging, Christian media—that that exists and thrives off of fallen leaders. . . . When I heard that my friend died, my immediate thought was, ‘Evangelicals were an accomplice to his death.’”
However, Bryan Loritts, son of nationally recognized pastor, Crawford Loritts, has a vested interest in keeping bloggers and Christian media silent.
Four years ago, Loritts was accused of covering up sex crimes committed by his brother-in-law while both men were employed by a church in Memphis. And though Loritts has left that church, and tried to put the allegations behind him, major questions remain. And blogs like the Wartburg Watch, Watchkeep, and Wondering Eagle have continued to report on the issue, much to Loritts’s chagrin.’ https://julieroys.com/bryan-loritts-blames-bloggers-for-darrin-patricks-death-but-has-vested-interest-in-keeping-them-quiet/?mc_cid=51bbb41f10&mc_eid=b13d34ad49
The whole article is a MUST read and does show hypocrisy at work.
Yes, there are jobs for the boys but also for the girls! For example, former Prime Minister Julia Gillard ‘ has been named the next chair of UK-based health foundation Wellcome Trust, one of the worlds largest investors in medical research including epidemics and the search for a COVID-19 vaccine.
The former Labor leader, who will take over in April, said lessons needed to be learnt from the coronavirus outbreak which has claimed more than 300,000 lives and infected more than 4.4 million people.
“If a major health challenge for the world started anywhere, in any country on earth, then it is good to have a process which enables us to learn every lesson so that we can keep humanity safer for the future,” she told the ABC.’
‘Ms Gillard is also chair of mental health organisation Beyond Blue and said Australians were suffering an emotional burden during the pandemic.
She told the ABC that since Easter a new “trend” of exhaustion was emerging as people tried to “manage it all, and maybe they’re trying to work from home and homeschool a couple of kids, and it’s just all got on top of them”.
Wellcome Trust is a financially and politically independent charitable foundation that funds medical research from its investment portfolio worth $50.7 billion.’ https://thenewdaily.com.au/news/coronavirus/2020/05/15/coronavirus-julia-gillard-china/?utm_source=Adestra&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Morning%20News%20-%2020200515
