I just got back from a 2-hour lunch with one of the guys who serves on working groups and committees of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), and he shared his frustrations working with these agencies.
The frustration stems from the devastating impact that an enormously complex system of rules and regulations involving federal, state, and regional agencies is having on individual businesses and entire industries in California and the rest of the United States.
No one can argue that a certain degree of regulation of business practices is necessary to protect employees, the public, and the environment from the negative impacts of their operations. On Saturday, NPR exploited Father’s Day to push “pregnant dads” with our taxpayer subsidies. The headline was “Americans celebrate dads this weekend. Three tell us about being a father in 2023.” They pushed the “he was pregnant” pronoun inanity hard in their celebration:

Patient Zero, the first person to be infected by a new virus, has been found.
In recent days, a number of stories have surfaced regarding the origins of COVID-19. These stories are coming out in advance of an official government report on the same subject from the Directorate of National Intelligence.
The only reason the DNI is issuing its report is because congressional Republicans forced the issue earlier this year.
Democrats could have done it in the first two years of the Biden Administration. But discovering the truth about the origins of COVID just wasn’t a big priority for them. Why not?
They didn’t want to upset communist China. They didn’t want to embarrass Dr. Fauci. And they really didn’t want to admit how much they lied to the American people.
