I finished the last article yesterday with this statement ‘There does seems to be a common thread that runs through how these Good Ole Boy’s Clubs operate and that thread may be discussed in another article.’

Mark 10:42-45, “But Jesus called them to him , and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. [43] But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: [44] And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. According to Paul’s first letter to Timothy we read that This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour 1Timothy 3: 1,2.
That in itself disqualifies Mr. Moore from being a pastor. Then in the fifth chapter of the same letter Paul writes Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. 20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. 22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure 1 Timothy 5:19 -22.

Now, consider the time frame of all this. Even if, Moore was ever to be in a position of public Christian ministry again, was SIX or SEVEN months enough time? Paul’s words in 1 Timothy 5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins are very appropriate for this situation!
Enough running commentary so what is the common thread or threads that run through the warp and woof of the Good Ole Boy’s Club? There are probably more but for now 5 will be given.
- Friendship – There has been a relationship built up through time. This is seen in all the Good Ole Boy’s Clubs.
- Authority – Those in the Good Ole Boy’s Club have authority over others.
- Sin- Most if not all the Good Ole Boy’s Clubs I have observed have had sin as the basis for exposing their existence.
- Comradeship – It is interesting that the Dictionary.com says comradeship is ‘a person who shares in one’s activities, occupation, etc.; companion, associate, or friend.’
- Often the members of the Good Ole Boy’s Club seek to show their own spirituality by using Scripture and doing certain things to help the fallen person all based on Scripture. This was definitely seen in the ABWE handling of the adulterer and paedophile Donn Ketcham https://sadsaga.wordpress.com/ .
Again this Cedarville, Moore, White situation is not new but typical of the Good Ole Boy’s Club!
