Tim Keller is Pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, New York. This video is one of a series where Keller very openly teaches and promotes Catholic mysticism, with particular reference to the sixteenth century Spanish mystic, St Teresa of Avila. Keller is very prominent among the New Calvinists which make up both The Gospel Coalition and Together for the Gospel. Keller’s high profile makes him even more dangerous with his influence over so many young men. Watch this video and listen carefully to what he is saying and then consider the following Scriptures and what God says about our mind and thinking.
Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
2Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
1Co 14:15 “What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also…”
Finally consider what Paul says in 1Thessalonians 5:4 – 6 “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.” Are many of the brethren sleeping when men of such high profile speak such things as Keller?
